"Just want to say that every time I post a new picture that you took my page lights up. Instagram the same way. Thank you so much for the gift you have given me. Memories for life." - Mr. B.Z.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES AND WHAT IS INCLUDED?

Rates and packages vary depending on the type of service. Packages generally begin around the $900 price point and our typical client happily invests $1500-$4500.

Ultimately, your investment will depend on how many final images you desire; if your needs are for frequent social media use, or if you want to create custom fine art; and if you desire an album and wall art, or just the digital files.

All sessions regardless of style include:

  • An email or phone consult to discuss your vision for your session

  • Styling and wardrobe advice

  • Expert posing advice at your session

  • Your photo session with Kacey Cole

  • An guided photo reveal during which you will select your final images and products

  • A collection of retouched images provided in color and black and white, in digital or tangible form.

IS A RETAINER REQUIRED TO HOLD A SESSION TIME?

A non-refundable retainer is required at time of booking, which ensures your date is held in our calendar, covers our time preparing for your session, and applies towards the total package rate.

When should I reach out to book a session?

Our books fill up fast- we cannot emphasize this enough - so contact us as soon as you know you want to do a session.

We do reserve a couple of spots for last-minute sessions each month and we also maintain a waitlist for anything that may open up - you can join that here.

EVERYONE ON YOUR SITE LOOKS LIKE A MODEL or a bodybuilder. I AM NOT A MODEL or a bodybuilder! CAN I REALLY DO THIS?

The clients featured on our website are not models and most are not bodybuilders - they are all genuine, authentic, exceptional but non-model humans just like yourself. Some may have been in front of our camera a couple more times than others (we LOVE the repeat sessions) but they are far from professionals.

In fact, we most enjoy working with people who have never been in front of a professional camera before, or whose last stab at it was senior portraits a decade or three ago.

There is nothing quite so rewarding as taking a "I’m not a model" client and having them ask “is that really me?” when they see their images.

As for bodybuilders, while we do specialize in photographing NPC and IFBB competitors and some of those clients are reflected in our portfolio, the majority of people we work with have never competed and are solely interested in capturing their current state of athleticism and fitness, be that from yoga, dance, time in the gym, Crossfit, etc.

All that is required from you in this process - is trust. :)

WILL YOU HELP ME PREPARE FOR MY SESSION?

Yes! We pride ourselves on offering a great client experience and that includes providing you with ample information that anticipates any question or concern you might have leading up to your session time.

We will direct you through the preparation process at time of booking, from choosing your wardrobe to grooming, hair, and make-up advice (the professional hair and makeup add-on is recommended for our female clients), and even what to wear on the way to your session.

You can contact us with any questions before your session date, including while you're out shopping for wardrobe or if you have any night-before jitters.

The more prepared you are, the better our session will go, and the happier you will be with the final outcome. So trust us when we say we want you to strut into our studio feeling perhaps yes, a bit nervous - but fully prepared and ready to shoot.

I don’t know what to wear!

You will receive a full preparation guide with wardrobe suggestions. Don’t enjoy shopping? We guarantee you have something in your closet that will work. Love any excuse to shop? A photo shoot is a great one and we have alllll the ideas for new multi-purpose items to add to your wardrobe.

Do you have a client closet?

No. For hygiene, sizing, and personalization reasons, having a client closet does not fit with our service model.

We will guide you in purchasing or bringing the appropriate items for YOU and your specific photo shoot goals, rather than picking from a “one-size-fits-all” closet.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO POSE!

During the shoot, we will help you with expressions, pose you from head to toe, guide your breathing, and do everything to help you look your very best. Yes, that includes facial expressions.

No posing skills are required coming into the session. We THRIVE on this part. Let us take that worry off your hands.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO MAKEUP FOR A PHOTO SHOOT!

Makeup for a photo shoot is different than every-day or even glam night makeup. We encourage the professional makeup add-on for our female clients regardless of your makeup skills. If you prefer to do your own, we can suggest some tips that will help get you camera-ready.

I HAVE CELLULITE / WRINKLES / stretch marks / skin folds / I'M NOT AS SKINNY / curvy / YOUNG / old / perfect AS I WANT TO BE / I DON’T LIKE MY [INSERT BODY PART] ETC.

100% of the clients who have stepped in front of our camera have expressed similar concerns. All been happy with the results post-session.

Our clients range in age from early 20s-70+(!) and everyone brings in some concerns about their appearance.

You are not alone in feeling some self-consciousness and we’d love the opportunity to show you how absolutely stunning you are, so-called "flaws" and all. :)

All of your concerns are valid and we will take them into consideration when posing you, but they do not invalidate your worthiness of this experience and the powerful images that will come from it.

Ok, but What is your retouching process - how much do you “edit out?”

First and foremost, we want you to look at your images and be proud. If you get them back and don’t recognize the person in them, then we have not achieved our purpose. We accomplish this more through careful posing, use of light, and our photography skills than the magic of Photoshop and we are happy to see the general fashion and media industry moving in this direction as well.

Our retouching philosophy is to honor your body. We will make your skin look its best, soften fine lines and undereye circles, remove blemishes, bruises, and the like, but we will not turn you into a mannequin or remove several dress sizes. Hard stop.

All bodies have stretch marks, cellulite, and scars, and all bodies fold and create rolls when they move (it’s called being human). We’re good at directing you in how to minimize these during the session, but will discuss with you post-session as to whether you want them taken out, softened, or left exactly as photographed.

Overall, our editing process focuses more on small and stylistic changes that improve the overall image instead of morphing your body or the set into something unrecognizable and our clients appreciate this.

WHEN WILL I SEE MY IMAGES? AND WHEN DO I GET final product in HAND?

Approximately one week after our photo session, we will go through your photo proofs with you at our studio or on an online call.

Every session results in dozens of amazing images (yes, even yours - we promise) and it can be overwhelming to navigate them on your own. We’ve developed an effective process to take you through them and guide you towards your absolute, can’t-live-without favorites. And you are going to be surprised by just how many you end up with!

Once your final photos are selected they will be retouched within approximately three weeks (product delivery within five to seven weeks post-session).

If you need your images or products sooner, faster turnaround times are usually feasible with a rush fee. We encourage you to contact us early if you have a deadline as our books fill up fast and same-month waitlist spots are rare.

WILL MY PHOTOS BE POSTED ONLINE?

Many of our clients are teachers, lawyers, doctors, police officers, local celebrities, or other professionals who need or desire complete privacy - and this is of utmost importance. Images in our online portfolio are shared only with express written permission and we sign NDAs when needed.

What nudity levels are allowed at a photo session? Is showing skin required?

Our boudoir and fitness photo sessions do tend to show a bit more skin, but you are not required to show any more skin than you are comfortable with and we want to emphasize that your boundaries will never be crossed. We have many recommendations for outfits with more coverage that allow for more modest sensuality.

Full nude sets are allowed in our studio but we will not photograph anything exposed in the front below the waist. For solo male shoots, undergarment coverage of the pelvic area is required at all times. This is a non-negotiable studio policy. For solo female and couple’s boudoir, bare bums, breasts, and strategic posing to cover the pelvic area in an artistic manner are allowed.

Our photography style is to honor and highlight the human form, not titillate the viewer, so please keep that in mind when booking a session.

Any inappropriate conduct including sexual harassment, threatening, hostile, or offensive behavior will result in an immediately end to the session and will result in the loss of any fees paid.

What is the difference between boudoir and sexy fitness?

We have a full description (with visuals) for you here!

I want to bring a friend to my shoot!

We generally get the best performance when we can focus on our work without additional distractions or input. However we do appreciate that it can be helpful to have your best friend around to calm some of those nerves and jitters.

If you feel you cannot get through the session alone, we do not allow more than ONE friend on set with you and we have a couple of requests: They may cheer you on from the sidelines but must not interfere with the shoot - please leave all of the touch-ups and directing to us. They may be asked to wait in the lobby if they jump in or if we feel their presence is interfering with our ability to keep you focused on shooting.

We kindly request that for solo boudoir sessions, your partner is NOT in the room while we are shooting. This is a firm studio policy and they will be asked to wait in the lobby if they accompany you to the studio.

I want to shoot somewhere other than your studio!

That’s wonderful! We love getting outside of the studio for on-location work and we have many examples of this in our portfolio. Any associated location costs (permit, rental use fee) must be covered by the client in addition to their photo session package. Please communicate your ideas and let’s make it happen!

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU OFFER?

We offer custom-designed albums and high-quality prints on archival paper, canvas, and metal. These may be purchased as part of your initial package or post-session during your photo reveal.

DO YOU SHOOT seniors? families? headshots? Weddings or newborns?

Yes. Yes. Yes! And…no! Please reach out to get your senior, family, or headshot session scheduled as opportunities for these sessions are very limited. When it comes to weddings and newborns, we have a great network of fantastic photographers in Denver and will refer you out.
